Anchored in Truth. Guided by the Word.

Hi, I’m Ted Fuller, a retired U.S. Coast Guard Master Chief Boatswain’s Mate, a follower of Jesus, and a man learning to live each day anchored in His truth.

For over thirty years, the ocean was my mission field. I served where storms were real and leadership meant everything. But when the uniform came off, I faced a different kind of storm, one that no compass or chart could guide me through.

Transition hit hard. The rhythm of service went silent. I felt unmoored, drifting between who I was and who I was meant to become. Alcohol became my anchor, depression became my sea, and for a time, I thought I’d gone too far from shore.

Then in 2019, Jesus met me right in the middle of that storm.
He didn’t just calm the waves; He changed my course.

Recovery became my new mission. And step by step, link by link, He began rebuilding the chain of my life. One of those links was an unexpected one: Christian education.

I enrolled in seminary not because I had it all figured out, but because I was still learning how to let grace hold me together. Each class, each passage of Scripture, each prayer became another link in that growing chain, connecting my past to a new purpose.

Now, through Anchored in Truth, I share that ongoing journey, helping others find stability in the storms of addiction, transition, and faith. Whether you’re a veteran trying to find your footing after service, or someone searching for hope beyond the pain, you’re welcome here.

You don’t have to have calm seas to have peace, you just need an anchor that holds.

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”  Hebrews 6:19

I’m still a work in progress, but that’s the beauty of it. Every link in the chain tells a story: of failure, faith, and freedom. And if my story can help steady someone else’s ship, then the storm was worth it.
